Position Summary:
The Labor Analyst / HR Generalist will be responsible for payroll and supporting activities, along with other accounting activities. This role will work cross functionally with personnel throughout the business to drive organizational improvement. The role will report directly to the Controller.
Job Responsibilities:
- Prepare, submit and post weekly plant payroll, including all 401K and flexible spending payments
- Maintain employee personnel files including all onboarding, offboarding, and benefit information
- Report Daily, Weekly and Monthly overtime
- Generate weekly payroll reports and upload payroll journal entries into Avante
- Assist Finance Director with benefit open enrollments and insurance renewals
- Track and report data for training grants and tax credits, as required
- Assist employees with filing partial unemployment claims during holiday shutdowns
- Reconcile credit cards charges each month/code for upload into Avante
- Produce and Distribute Manager Reports
- Provide analytical support during Closing process
Qualifications / Requirements
- 2 Years of Relevant Experience preferred
- Bachelor’s Degree in a Business-Related Field
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Team player with a proactive approach, positive attitude and strong sense of self-motivation, accountability, and responsibility
- Proficient with MS suite with advanced excel skills
- Ability to produce quality correspondence, spreadsheets, reports, and presentations
- Advanced research and analysis skills for financial and operating data, including planning and implementation of selected solutions
- Ability to drive change across departments by presenting solutions to issues within the scope of the finance department
