Position Summary:
The Plant Accountant will be responsible for Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable, along with other accounting activities. This role will work cross functionally with personnel throughout the business to drive organizational improvement. The role will report directly to the Controller.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and distribute invoices for boats as they are shipped and produce title documents as required
  • Maintain organized files on all shipped boats
  • Process Accounts Payable invoices in the accounting software as product is received by the warehouse
  • Maintain organized files on unmatched pack slips, unmatched invoices, and posted invoices
  • Produce weekly check runs, including printing checks, matching backup to checks, mailing checks and scanning checks/backup
  • Review Supplier Statements to ensure all invoices are accounted for
  • Work with the Warehouse and Purchasing to resolve invoice price and/or quantity discrepancies
  • Develop working relationships with all suppliers, to ensure accounts are kept current and issues are resolved promptly
  • Assist the Controller with month-end close and other accounting functions, as required

Qualifications / Requirements

  • 1-2 Years of Relevant Experience preferred
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical capabilities
  • Attention to detail and ability to follow standard procedures
  • Team player with a proactive approach, positive attitude and strong sense of self-motivation, accountability, and responsibility
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic and constantly changing company environment
  • Proficient with MS suite, especially Excel skills
  • Willingness to learn and grow as the position expands
