Position Summary:
The Production Supervisor will oversee hourly employees and ensure schedules, policies, and procedures are followed. Maintaining a high level of organization and drive continuous improvement to help build/maintain a culture of good work ethic, loyalty, lean manufacturing. The position also requires embrace the Custom activities of the brand.
Job Responsibilities:
- Hires, trains, disciplines and rewards employees in accordance to company’s guidelines
- Reviews and maintains daily task
- Develops and implements process improvements needed for optimal department performance
- Ensure the employees are focused on customer and internal quality issues and anomalies
- Track and report on TPP data
- Update and share information from the Departmental and station boards
- Participate and solve anomalies cross functionally in the Fast Response program
- Collaboratively work with Engineering to launch new product and custom deviations
- Report out daily in an accountability meeting on quality and daily work standards performance
- Help build and maintain world class 5’s
- Report out in weekly staff meeting on progress and closure of weekly and monthly task/projects
Qualifications / Requirements
- 3 to 5 years’ experience in a leadership role in the marine industry
- Demonstrated tangible leadership skills that cohere to the lean culture with the ability to engage, coach and develop associates and peers
- Has knowledge and exercised problem-solving tools “5y’s, Fishbones etc.…”
- Proficient skills in Microsoft Word and Excel
