Position Summary:
The Shipping / Receiving Clerk is responsible for accurately receiving all items arriving to the warehouse; the position requires a high level of organization, time management, and the ability to adhere to processes. The Shipping / Receiving Clerk interacts with the other members of the warehouse team on a consistent basis in the performance of regular duties as well as assisting in troubleshooting issues.
Job Responsibilities:
- Pulling parts and materials, packaging for shipment, and shipping to desired annex location.
- Completion of proper shipping paperwork
- Communicating shipment details to accounting, customer service, and buyer in a timely manner
- Receive packages, process in Avante, and put away all inbound freight within the same day of receipt
- Completing proper paperwork related to non-conformance
- Inform buyers, freight carriers, and production managers of damaged or incorrect shipment
- Filing claims to freight carriers when shipments are damaged
- Picking parts for production
- Deliver parts to required stages on assembly line
- Transacting parts in Avante
- Cycle counting
- Participating in annual Physical Inventory
Qualifications / Requirements
- Must follow all safety guidelines
- Physically handle and lift packages
- Know how to operate UPS Worldwide System for outgoing packages
- Operate cherry picker and forklift
- Must have working knowledge of computer-based warehousing systems
- Previous warehouse/stock room experience preferred
- Professional and positive approach, self-motivated, strong in building relationships, team player, creative with the ability to work on own initiative
- Demonstrated strong oral and written communication skills

Environmental and Working Conditions:
The position is in production environment where temperature and ventilation are controlled. Will be required to work inside and outside, regardless of weather conditions. A normal duty requires climbing, bending, stooping, crouching, kneeling, reaching, turning, and twisting. Moderate to heavy lifting (50 to 100 lbs.), with or without accommodation, is required.
